Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN PCU) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the medical team. The RN coordinates pre-operative and post-operative care and advocates for the patient experience.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, procedures as ordered, accurate documentation, medication administration, and ongoing knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care. Excellent patient advocacy is essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.
