Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate patient-centered care on a 44-bed unit. You will work with physicians and the care team on pre- and post-operative care, advocate for patients, and ensure timely documentation and safe medication administration.

Qualifications

• RN must have a BSN or be enrolled in a BSN program and obtain it within 5 years of hire.
• Master's in Nursing is preferred for advancement opportunities.
• Current RN license with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• National certification in area of specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality patient-centered care on the Progressive Care unit.
• Care for pre-operative and post-operative patients in collaboration with the care team.
• Advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Assess, document, and report changes in patient condition per protocol.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or BSN in progress

Masters in Nursing

BLS Healthcare Provider

NCBON license (eNLC may apply)
