Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN supports pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to ensure an unparalleled experience.

You will assess patient status, perform orders, document care, administer medications, and stay current on cardiac and med-surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification required within 7 days of start date.
• RN license held and active; Associate degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift and report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and equipment for cardiac/med-surgical patients.
