Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Progressive Care PCU RN for a travel assignment in Rockford, IL. The role involves delivering care to telemetry/progressive care patients, with emphasis on clinical judgment and critical thinking under supervision.
The position is travel-based with a 36-hour work week and weekly pay. Requirements include current RN license in the practicing state, CPR if applicable, TB/health clearances, and eligibility to meet all federal, state, and local regulations.
The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.
Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices
One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
