Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Staff Nurse in a specialty area
• Previous Charge Nurse experience and leadership
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Licensed Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and integrate services within the department and with other departments
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide service delivery
• Determine qualifications and competence of department personnel
• Continuously assess and improve department and organizational performance
• Maintain appropriate quality control programs
• Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education
• Oversee and review the development of monthly schedules
• Collaborate with Nursing Supervisor and Chief Nurse Executive on staffing
• Review and approve employee timesheets
• Ensure at least six unit-specific staff meetings yearly with documented minutes
