AbbVie is seeking a senior program manager to coordinate strategic initiatives across the AbbVie Biologic Manufacturing Network. You will drive execution, assess trends, and guide cross-functional teams globally to support long- and short-term business objectives.

The role requires significant travel (~50%) and strong PM skills across GMP, regulatory requirements, and lifecycle management. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in engineering/science and a track record in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in process development, project management, Operational Excellence, engineering/process support and manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Validation, Engineering, CMC technical development and pharmaceutical regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input to shape front end planning, due diligence and technical feasibility for new product introductions.
  • Lead site transfers, new indications and lifecycle projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Description

In this global role, you will coordinate emerging strategic programs across the Abbvie Biologic Manufacturing Network. These strategic programs are focused on delivering sustainable World Class Execution directly within the AbbVie Manufacturing Network through consistent improvement in standards and processes in partnership with IME Senior Leadership and Site Senior Leadership. In addition, you will evaluate emerging trends, network needs, and business opportunities with input from key internal and external stakeholders; recommend actions that support long-term and short-term business objectives; facilitate executive decision-making and guide implementation of approved programs in partnership with cross-functional leaders across all regions and global headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing technical input, leading to shape the overall strategies for the front end planning, due diligence and technical feasibility assessments for potential new product introductions.
  • Implement site transfers, new indications, new presentations and lifecycle projects for on market programs on time and within budget
  • Proactively identify and drive technical and project plan related issues to closure by working with all relevant functional lines and effectively troubleshooting and driving decisions
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, operating with minimal supervision
  • Understand project drivers, requirements, scenarios and options. Proactively drive development of contingency and/or risk mitigation plans.
  • Manage competing timelines and make difficult decisions regarding priorities among projects.
  • Effectively communicate and present project status to Operations senior management and stakehol8. Accountable for setting program and project plans, including timelines and expenses, that meet business and organizational objectives and ensuring those plans are achieved.ders
  • Define budget requirements and report monthly actuals, LBE, and Plan/LRP schedules per financial schedule

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required

Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline,
  • 10+ years of combined experience in positions related to process development, project management, Operational Excellence, engineering/process support and manufacturing
  • Must have strong knowledge of GMP Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Validation, Engineering, CMC technical development and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Must have demonstrated organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have demonstrated strong project management skills with successful delivery of projects
  • Must be able to effectively facilitate the resolution of complex scientific, technical, analytical and business issues across functional lines
  • Plant experience a must
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Proficiency in multiple languages a plus
  • Please note that global travel (approx. 50%) is required for the role to partner with Site Leaders across the global AbbVie network.
