Job summary

Husco in Wisconsin seeks a Manager – Program to lead customer programs from prototype through production launch, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and suppliers to ensure quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.

You will guide product design, verification testing, and design control while building a high-performing Applications Engineering team and aligning cross-functional priorities across global projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years engineering experience leading complex customer programs and product launches.
  • Experience with product design, verification testing, supplier development, and production launch processes.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across functions and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of APQP, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and authorized to work in the United States.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead multiple complex customer programs from prototype build and verification testing through production launch.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, suppliers, and customers to successfully launch new products.
  • Manage program budgets, financial metrics, cost models, and cost optimization opportunities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Use your technical expertise to guide product design, design control, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing clear communication, technical support, problem resolution, and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Lead and develop an Applications Engineering team through coaching, mentoring, performance development, and talent growth.
  • Serve as a cross‑functional leader who balances customer expectations, business needs, technical requirements, and project timelines.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated success leading complex customer programs and product launches.
  • Experience with product design, verification testing, supplier development, customer support, and production launch processes.
  • Ability to coordinate project activities across multiple functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of APQP, engineering drawing practices, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
