Job summary

Prevent Blindness invites applications for the Associate Director, Programs to advance a comprehensive continuum of care for children’s vision and eye health. This full-time role leads development and dissemination of evidence-based resources, education, evaluation, and reporting in alignment with NCCVEH priorities.

This position is remote with occasional travel; candidates based in the Chicago area are preferred to support in-person meetings and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, or Early Childhood Education required.
• MPH or related degree preferred; commensurate professional experience will be considered in such fields as early childhood education, nursing, or adult learning.

Responsibilities

• Education & Training: manage professional education initiatives, develop abstracts and presentations, create print and digital resources, and coordinate scholarships.
• Evaluation, Writing, and Data Analysis: measure program impacts, prepare reports for committees and funders, and support data analysis.
• Public Awareness & Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate on marketing plans, support affiliates, cultivate partnerships, and coordinate awards and governance activities.
