Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC. is seeking a Program Coordinator, Memory Care to create and lead engaging activities for residents. You will coordinate monthly calendars and collaborate with external groups to provide diverse programs, ensuring balanced cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational activities.

The role requires a high level of customer service, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with technology. The position offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support to planning, coordinating and implementing activities and events.
• Develop monthly program calendar balanced across cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical and recreational opportunities.
• Assist in procuring groups, organizations or individuals to perform for or instruct residents.
• Encourage resident participation through positive relationships and personalized interactions.
• Assist the Director of Entertainment & Programming with transportation within community guidelines and with outings.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting community vehicles.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time. 8:30am-4:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday.

The Program Coordinator, Memory Care position helps to create and lead an exciting program that maximizes resident engagement and enhances the quality of life of our residents.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing overall support to the department in planning, coordinating, and implementing adult-centric, relevant, elevated, and purposeful activities and events
• Assist in the development of the monthly program calendar to ensure it is equally balanced with cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities
• Assisting in procuring groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct the residents
• Actively influence and encourage residents to participate in activities using positive relationships and personalized interactions
• Programing Coordinators assist the Director ofEntertainment & Programming in providing medical transportation to residents within the community guidelines, as well as innovative and interesting outings and excursions
• Assist residents in entering and exiting community vehicle

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous relevant experience as a Programming Coordinator (Activities) preferred, but not required
• Must be proficient in the use of Internet resources and demonstrate an understanding and use of current technology
• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean motor vehicle record, and at least three (3) years of driving experience
• Strong customer service skills are required
