Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Full Time, Entry Level/Hourly Software Programmer in King of Prussia, PA or Herndon, VA. You will support the full life cycle development of software solutions and help investigate and fix software discrepancies and defects.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of Python, C/C++, IDL, CREO, Linux, and Matlab; familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira; and can complete coding and unit testing. U.S. citizenship and facility access clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related discipline or technical training, or related work experience.
• Familiar with software development environments and languages (C, C++, JAVA, Linux).
• Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with Matlab.
• Database experience – SQL/NoSQL.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Utilizing Agile software methodologies and processes.

The Successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following: strong skills in use of Python, C/C++, IDL, CREO, Linux, and/or Matlab; familiarity with Agile methodologies, scrum master and use of Jira boards; and completing the coding and unit level testing.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $47100.00 - $87500.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
