Position Summary:
The Entry Level Programmer is responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and support of internal business applications and tools used across the organization. This position writes and troubleshoots code, works with databases and business data, resolves software issues, and helps improve existing systems. The Entry Level Programmer works closely with experienced team members and end users to understand business needs, develop practical solutions, and ensure applications effectively support day-to-day operations. This position is designed for an individual beginning a programming career who demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
An associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or something close to it; or self-taught skills you can demonstrate - a GitHub profile, personal projects, freelance work, coursework you finished on your own, a game you built, or a script that automates something at your current job.
Demonstrated ability to write functional code in at least one programming language.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand code developed by others.
Ability to communicate technical issues and concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated accountability and follow-through in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving assigned issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, including AI-assisted software development tools.
Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site at the Portage, Indiana location.

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to analyze technical information and business requirements. Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment in with typical noise levels and frequent computer use. Occasional after-hours work may be required to support software deployments, system maintenance, or production issues.
