Job Summary:

Installs, customizes, supports, and creates integrations for vendor-supplied software systems. Works on a team and collaborates with specific departments, colleges, and customers around campus. Supports their needs, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and responding to their questions and concerns in a timely manner.

Additional Department Summary:

This senior-level position is a part of the IT Operations Support & Process Development team, which primarily develops custom processes using Microsoft Power Platform, as well as supporting AssetWorks AIM and M5 applications. The team develops processes and web applications using C#, .NET, and Power Platform; design, manage, and maintain webpages using WordPress and SharePoint; and supports vendor-supplied software systems, including Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools, and AssetWorks AiM, FleetFocus, and FuelFocus. This team helps to support the following campus partners: Campus Development, Compliance, Enterprise Operations, Public Safety, and Facilities. This position is expected to be both the primary and secondary support person for various applications and processes. Additionally, this position is expected to act as a mentor and help train lower-level team members and be the technical lead on projects of low to moderate complexity.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Supports their needs, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and responding to their questions and concerns in a timely manner.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and work with customer groups and users of varying degrees of technical ability and understanding. The ability to manage work tasks and follow through to completion. Have effective time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Troubleshooting skills to analyze, track, and resolve issues.
The ability to implement departmental and critical third party applications, analyzing installation and configuration documentation, to successfully install and take on support for an application.

Preferred Qualifications:

High level of experience supporting moderately complex systems and troubleshooting application issues. High level of experience with working with customers, gathering and analyzing requirements. Considerable experience of relational databases and ability writing and analyzing SQL queries and reports; preferably with Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL; and ability to analyze table data structures and patterns in the data to gain insights. Some experience with the creation and management of database objects including tables, triggers, indexes, and procedures and processes, including SSIS. Substantial level of programming knowledge and ability, with languages such as C# and .NET. High level of experience supporting or working with higher education administrative applications and tools, such as AssetWorks AiM, FleetFocus, and FuelFocus; Power Platform and Power Apps, WordPress, and SharePoint. Base knowledge of managing Windows Server applications, including IIS management and configuration and a base knowledge of Linux commands. Knowledge of web development concepts, including experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, Javascript, MVC concepts, and web accessibility. Experience with other programming concepts and tools including restful APIs; shell, Powershell, and Python scripting; Git versioning; and managing flat file data feeds.
