Job summary

Erie 1 BOCES is seeking a Programmer Analyst to design, develop, and maintain applications and data solutions in Technology Services. You will work with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, SQL, IBM Cognos, and NYS education data to solve real-world technical and business challenges.

You will analyze requirements, write efficient code, create reports, and collaborate across teams to implement projects while documenting processes and supporting data flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a regionally accredited or NYS registered four-year college with related field and two years of data processing experience
• 60 semester hours with a major in Data Processing or Computer Science and three years of data processing experience
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code; create custom applications, reports, and database queries
• Collaborate across teams for project implementations; develop technical documentation
• Monitor system performance and tune as indicated; ensure usability and accuracy in system design
• Provide planning support, establish timelines and task assignments; design test plans and evaluate results
• Coordinate disaster recovery planning and testing; maintain confidentiality and professional relationships
• Respond to system emergencies; support team and promote best practices and ongoing skill development
