Job summary

Sims-Lohman, a leader in custom countertop fabrication and installation, is seeking a detail-oriented Programmer (CAD/CAM) to transform digital templates into production-ready cutting programs for stone products.

In this role you will convert LT55 templates with AlphaCAM, review Moraware orders, and generate final CAD drawings and CNC programs for shop production, coordinating with production and tech teams to ensure precise seam placements and cutouts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of AlphaCAM or AutoCAD experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD/AlphaCAM software.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Convert LT55 laser camera templates into production-ready drawings using AlphaCAM.
• Review Moraware job orders for completeness and coordinate with account managers or techs.
• Generate CAD drawings, PDFs, and CNC cut programs for shop production.
• Ensure proper seam, sink, cooktop, and backsplash cutouts.
• Upload documents to Moraware and Dropbox.

What You'll Do:

• Convert LT55 laser camera templates into production-ready drawings using AlphaCAM.
• Review job orders in Moraware for completeness and coordinate with account managers or techs to gather missing information.
• Generate final CAD drawings, PDFs, and CNC cut programs for shop production.
• Ensure accurate placement of seam locations, sink and cooktop cutouts, and backsplash details.
• Upload finalized documents to internal systems (Moraware and Dropbox).

What You Bring:

• 1+ years of experience with AlphaCAM or AutoCAD in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, and business IT systems.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to coordinate with production and technical teams.
• Office, warehouse, and fabrication shop settings.
• Occasional exposure to loud noise and varied temperatures.
