The United Nations Secretary-General is responsible for the investment of the assets of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). The Secretary-General has delegated this responsibility to the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the UNJSPF (RSG). The RSG heads the Office of Investment Management (OIM), which manages a $100+ billion multi-asset class, global investment portfolio, about 85% of which is actively managed in-house. Asset classes under management comprise global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, timber and commodities. This position is located in the Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). OIM is responsible for the investment of the assets of the Fund. The temporary position supports organizational development at OIM to facilitate the implementation of Total Portfolio Approach (TPA) best practices at the Fund. Following the TPA Feasibility Study, OIM identified a sequenced programme to move the Fund towards a best-practice total portfolio model under Project Blue Print 2030. The One-Organization Enablement workstream seeks to strengthen enterprise-wide decision-making by improving coordination across investment teams, operations and governance functions; creating common investment language and aligned performance objectives; and establishing integrated governance, reporting and delegated-authority arrangements. The Programme Management Officer reports to the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of UNJSPF (RSG).
