Job summary

UN Women Afghanistan seeks a six-month Programme Coordinator consultant to support the Integrated Programming and Localization Unit. The role emphasizes partner closure and onboarding, coordination of 16 Days of Activism, GBV/PSS programming, and quality assurance across EVAW and livelihoods within a constrained context.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will provide advisory guidance, monitor progress, prepare briefing notes and donor inputs, and help strengthen partnerships with

Qualifications

Advanced degree in development or gender-related field is required.
Experience in EVAW, GIHA, and livelihoods is preferred.
Experience with international development and UN systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide advisory support and technical programme guidance for the Integrated Programme Unit.
Coordinate partner closure and onboarding with focus on 2026-2027 timelines.
Lead planning for thematic priorities including GBV and PSS interventions.
Monitor actions, risks and delivery timelines; prepare donor inputs and reports.
Develop partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
