Description

Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Trainer to join our team. This position directly supports programs providing a broad array of resources, referrals, mental health coaching, and specialized support for military members and their families worldwide. These programs aim to enhance military community quality of life.

This job posting is in anticipation of future work.

The Program Trainer provides program-specific training, including training licensed counselors and contributing to CBT training materials. Topics include SOPs, customer service, available services, onboarding, quality follow-up, contact center operations, call/video/chat interactions, referrals, person-centered approaches, military programs and benefits, cultural training, reporting protocols, disaster response, deployment and reintegration, evidence-based care for suicide-related behaviors, specialty consultations, non-medical counseling, screening processes, warm hand-offs, documentation, and staff certifications. Training is conducted both on the job and via virtual sessions. The trainer tracks certifications in RMS, ensuring compliance and current knowledge across disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-job and virtual training for call center workflows.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and conduct remedial training for staff failing competency checks or receiving service complaints.
  • Analyze training status reports to ensure certifications, training, and licensing are up to date and meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with content developers to update training materials.
  • Adapt training content to suit different learning styles.
  • Keep training materials current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Revise and improve training based on feedback.
  • Provide feedback to participants for skill improvement.
  • Analyze training data to identify areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in adult education, human resources training and development, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing and leading training programs in call center, EAP, or behavioral/mental health telecounseling.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, knowledge of call center and military culture.
  • Proficiency with electronic learning systems, Microsoft tools, web research, and documentation systems.
  • U.S. citizen, fluent in English.
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks and credential verification.
  • Remote work requires a private, quiet space and reliable high-speed internet (wired connection required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veteran, military retiree, wounded warrior, or military spouse.
  • Experience with military communities.
  • Experience with employee assistance programs (EAP).
