What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage incoming calls by triaging and scheduling appointments for patients
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate records in the EHR system
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or service fees
- Communicate with providers and pharmacies regarding patient concerns and medication refills
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center, front desk, or clinic coordinator role in an outpatient setting
- Healthcare experience in Medical or Behavioral Health
- Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in electronic appointment scheduling and able to multi-task effectively
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in a behavioral health setting
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with EHR systems and appointment scheduling processes
