Mayhill Hospital, located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area capable of providing care to individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. In this position, you will perform social services functions, including assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal emotional health. This includes providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients and families, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and clinical assessment skills.
License: Must hold state certification in social work or a related mental health field. LPC-Intern, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW licenses are required.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification, training in Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation prior to orientation, and passing a competency exam upon hire. Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime may be required.
