Job summary

San Diego Center for Children is hiring a Program Therapist for part-time hours to deliver direct therapeutic services to children and their families. Therapists may meet clients at school, home, or the office, coordinating with psychiatry for medication management and working with school teams to support IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (M.A) in social work, psychology, education or related health services or equivalent
• Bilingual in Amharic, Somali, Swahili, and/or Tigrinya
• Registered Associate or Intern BBS number required
• Experience working with children, youth and families
• Available for early evening appointments, at least 2x per week
• Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent driving eligibility

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapeutic services to children and parents/caregivers
• Coordinate with attending psychiatrist for medication management
• Engage with schools and community partners to support services
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and billing
• Meet monthly productivity targets and collaborate with the SDCC-ECOP team
• Attend staff meetings and participate in supervision and training
• Provide school and home-based services as agreed with supervisors
