Job summary

San Diego Center for Children is seeking a Program Therapist to provide direct therapeutic services to children and their families, with sessions at the client’s school, home, or our office based on preference. You will collaborate with the attending psychiatrist for medication management and with schools through IEPs and ongoing contact with teachers and counselors.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, or equivalent.
• Registered Associate or Intern BBS number required.
• Experience working with children, teenagers, and families.
• Available to provide early evening appointments, at least 2x per week.
• Valid California Clinical License or Registration.
• Valid California Driver’s License (CDL)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct therapeutic services to children and their parents/caregivers, with sessions at client’s school, home, or office as preferred.
• Collaborates with attending psychiatrist for medication management and with schools via IEPs and monthly contacts.
• Maintains timely, accurate clinical documentation and billing.
• Attend staff meetings weekly and participate in supervision per BBS standards.
• Meets productive targets and adheres to agency policies and procedures.
• Works with multidisciplinary outpatient team to ensure quality care.
