Contractor Assistant Program Manager (Program Support Lead)
The Contractor Assistant Program Manager (Program Support Lead) will be on a dynamic team supporting Team Submarine and the NAVSEA 05Z Program Office. You will bring your expertise and collaborative skills to help ensure the design, construction and Test & Evaluation of future ballistic missile submarine power systems, working closely with shipbuilders and government stakeholders in Washington, D.C.
In This Role, You Will
- Support the Program Manager in the day‑to‑day operations within the program, including but not limited to:
- Job description development
- Resume review and interviews
- Onboarding processes
- Compiling, editing and submitting weekly, monthly and annual reports
- Timecard management
- Financial management
- Employee recognition
- Provide support, as needed, to all government and contractor support personnel.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate proficiency in preparing, selecting, organizing and presenting information concisely.
- Work well within a time‑sensitive environment.
- Professionally develop junior personnel.
- Research, analyze and provide recommendations on possible courses of action on multiple topics.
- Provide training, as requested by the customer, to government and contractor support personnel on submarine operation, construction, risk management and certifications.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- A current/active DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Advanced MS Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment, accepting emergent tasking with little to no supervision or direction
- Ability to work independently and within large team environments
- Discretion in performing specified work requirements
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with a diverse team of professionals
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, and the capacity to present projects to senior management
- Ability to travel up to 10%
