Job summary

CACI is seeking a Submarine Systems Engineer to support submarine maintenance and planning efforts at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering to ensure operational excellence for US Navy submarines.

Responsibilities include creating TGIs, supporting budgeting, performing multi-disciplinary analyses, and ensuring component compatibility. Travel up to 10% is required in this on-site position.

Qualifications

  • Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University.
  • Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress, etc.
  • Experience with configuration management and document control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Prior experience with US Navy submarine systems.
  • Familiarity with SUBSAFE, Fly-by-Wire, and SOC.
  • Electrical power background (NSTM 300).
  • Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI, and ASME standards.
  • Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair, and/or testing.
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products.
