The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victim/survivors. We support, convene, and collaborate with sexual assault programs, advocates, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and nursing programs to promote a more victim-centered response to sexual violence, and increase effective criminal justice.

MNCASA provides:

  1. Victim and Survivor Support by helping partner programs and medical personnel, law enforcement, and legal and social service providers deliver state of the art victim advocacy and support.
  2. Prevention Support by developing the capacity of partner programs and others to design and implement effective community-level primary prevention strategies.
  3. Policy Reforms through public policy education and advocacy.
  4. Systems Change by developing capacity in medical, criminal justice, social service, and judicial systems to incorporate a coordinated and victim-centered approach into their responses.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the Advocacy, Medical Forensics, and Prevention staff to support MNCASA’s training and technical assistance programming. Under the supervision of the Training and Technical Assistance Manager, you will coordinate and schedule training activities, develop communications strategies and resources to enhance partner engagement, participate in program evaluation activities, and support MNCASA’s membership to ensure that programmatic activities align with the needs of professionals in the field of sexual violence response.

Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented, task-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative work environment. You bring experience in sexual assault advocacy or related disciplines, paired with a strong background in program coordination and stakeholder engagement. You’re familiar with data collection and program evaluation, and you are comfortable utilizing different technology platforms related to communications and virtual learning. Above all, you are passionate about survivor-centered, equity-driven responses to sexual violence.

You bring most of the following:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or you bring a meaningful combination of professional and lived experience that aligns with this work.
  • You have at least two years of experience supporting survivors of sexual assault, engaging in violence prevention, or working in an allied field.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and program evaluation skills.
  • You have experience in communications and/or resource development.

Communications and Resource Development (30%)
  • Develop and implement communications strategies to enhance member program engagement and advertise MNCASA training and TA events.
  • Oversee MNCASA listserv activities.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems and Membership Manager to create digital communications resources.
  • Create and refine tools, materials, and guidance in collaboration with the Advocacy, Medical Forensics, and Prevention program staff.

This role includes occasional travel to support events and job activities. This typically occurs 1-3 times per year, with advance notice and full logistical support provided.
