Job summary

The State of Washington, OSPI, seeks a Program Supervisor for Physical Education, Health, and CSHE based in Olympia. This full‑time role provides statewide leadership, guidance, and resources essential to graduation requirements and standards alignment.

The position requires collaboration with agencies, development of professional learning, and the rollout of standards‑aligned materials, with some telework days available and mandatory in‑office presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in PE, Health or education, educational administration, or related area.
• A minimum of three (3) years of K‑12 experience in PE or Health as a teacher and/or within the educational setting.
• A combination of education and related professional work experience may be considered year for year.
• Residency in the state of Washington is required.
• Knowledge of current research, procedures and best practices in K‑12 PE and Health, including curriculum, assessment, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide leadership for PE, Health, and CSHE, aligning systems, policies, and practices for equitable access to high‑quality learning.
• Lead policy development, implementation, and professional learning to build statewide capacity.
• Collaborate with state agencies, educational organizations, and stakeholders to inform policy and implementation.
