Job summary

Chimes International LTD in Nottingham, MD oversees programs for individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring active support, and maintaining program quality under the guidance of an Assistant Director.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of supervisory experience, and an Associate degree is required (Bachelor's preferred).

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have a car and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the agency's insurance carrier and policy.
• An Associate Degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies staff attendance and ensures active support is provided.
• Ensures adequate staff in attendance and arranges temporary staff when needed.
• Assesses need for adaptive equipment and makes referrals to management.
• Ensures materials are in place at start of each shift and throughout program time.
• Documents incidents as needed.
• Uses crisis intervention skills in emergencies when needed.
• Develops staff through orientation and ongoing training.
• Works with the Assistant Director to reduce turnover.
• Conducts visits/inspections to ensure contractual specifications are met.
• Familiar with DOL regulations related to persons served.
• Serves as a positive role model for staff.
