Job summary

Redwood Community Services, Inc. in Ukiah, CA seeks a full-time program supervisor to oversee daily operations, scheduling, staff coverage, and service coordination.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with individuals with special needs, developmental disabilities, at-risk youth, or mental health challenges.
  • 3+ years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience in behavioral health, social services, or residential care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily program operations, scheduling, staff coverage, and service coordination.
  • Monitor EHRs and client files to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, complete, and compliant with agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain current client rosters, transportation schedules, participation schedules, and other program records.
  • Coordinate with clinicians and program staff regarding documentation, care plan cycles, client needs, and follow-up items.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve program processes and service delivery.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, guardians, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Review staff timecards for accuracy and compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
  • Maintain required productivity and caseload standards.
  • Communicate timely and professionally through Outlook and other agency systems.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to provide operational support and engage with staff and clients.
  • Obtain required client or guardian signatures and ensure documentation is properly completed and maintained.
  • Support a therapeutic, supportive, and positive program environment.
  • Communicate with families regarding transportation, field trips, holiday closures, and other program-related matters.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily program operations, scheduling, staff coverage, and service coordination.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with special needs, developmental disabilities, at-risk youth, and/or mental health challenges.
  • At least 3 years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience in behavioral health, social services, or residential care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Supervisory experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, or youth services.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health systems, trauma-informed care, and best practices for individuals with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve programs, and maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance.
Driving Requirement:

This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes.

  • Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements.
  • Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
Training:
  • Preferred– Training in harm reduction, Housing First, trauma-informed, low barrier service models.
  • RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation, which includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, introductions to all RCS departments, and other valuable trainings.
