Job summary

Wheeler Clinic in Hartford, CT, seeks a Supervisor to oversee daily program activities, supervise group facilitators and client care coordinators, and support staff with crisis leadership. The role involves co-facilitating domestic violence offender group services and ensuring fidelity to the program model.

The ideal candidate has an MA/MS in related fields and at least 1 year of experience with criminal justice populations and group facilitation, with supervisory experience strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• MA/MS degree in Social Services, Criminal Justice or related field; plus 1 year experience in working with criminal justice populations, group facilitation and domestic violence is required.
• Supervisory experience strongly encouraged.
• Demonstrated ability and/or exceptional performance within a CSSD funded or Wheeler Clinic program may be substituted for experience or education.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and leadership to domestic violence programs within the department by implementing, promoting, and sustaining best practice models of intervention.
• Provides consistent supervision and crisis support to staff.
• Recruits program staff and addresses retention and disciplinary action as needed in accordance with HR policy.
• Works with Associate Director/Program Manager to develop, monitor, and analyze program performance and outcomes.
• Interfaces and collaborates with funders and referral sources to promote Wheeler Clinic's reputation as a quality service provider.
• Ensures program compliance with accurate and timely weekly, monthly and/or quarterly data collection and submission requirements.
• Serves as role model for staff to promote strong work ethic and adherence to model specific approaches.
• Ensures that staff provide culturally competent care and maintains sensitivity to and respect for clients' cultural traditions, values, and beliefs.
