Job summary

Phoenix Alternatives, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Program Supervisor for our White Bear Lake day program to lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and manage a 25–30 participant caseload.

The role combines supervision with hands-on support in a daytime schedule, with no nights or weekends. The ideal candidate meets 245D Coordinator standards or equivalent, is 21+, passes background checks, and has reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Designated Coordinator standards as established per 245D.
• One of: Baccalaureate Degree in Human Services with 1 year direct care experience, Associate Degree with 2 years, diploma with 3 years, or 50 hours + 4 years direct care experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, teach, and coach Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals per DHS licensing requirements and PAI standards; ensure clear communication.
• Train and supervise staff to 245D requirements and PAI policies.
• Provide supervision, evaluation, and development of participants' needs per 245D and PAI rules.
• Coordinate interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of staff.
• Oversee CSSPA, IAPP, SMA documentation and observe staff performance for service delivery.
• Respond to identified participant needs, interests, and outcomes.
• Oversee daily staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure participant personal care and proper transfer/lifting procedures.

In our day program, you will work a standard daytime work week at our White Bear Lake location. Keep your nights and weekends free!

As a Program Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise, teach, and coach Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals according to DHS licensing requirements and PAI performance standards. Ensure professional and regular communication to ensure ideas, concerns, and recommendations are given due consideration.
• Train and supervise program staff to 245D requirements and PAI policies and procedures.
• Provide supervision, support, evaluation, and development of participant's needs as specified in 245D licensing standards, PAI policies, and other applicable rules and regulations.
• Coordinate interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, and retention of staff.
• Oversee and author participant Coordinated Service and Support Plan Addendum (CSSPA), Individual Abuse Prevention Plan (IAPP), Self-Management Assessment (SMA), person-centered outcomes, and provide direct observation of staff members to ensure effectiveness of service delivery.
• Respond to identified support needs, interests, preferences, and desired outcomes for each participant.
• Oversee program staff to ensure adequate daily staffing.
• Ensure participant personal care needs are met and that proper transfer/lifting procedures are followed.

Your experience, skills, and attributes should include:

• Meet Designated Coordinator standards as established per 245D. Minimally have one of the following:
  • A Baccalaureate Degree in a field related to Human Services and one-year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older;
  • An Associate Degree in a field related to Human Services and two-years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older;
  • A diploma in a field related to Human Services from an accredited post-secondary institution and three-years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older; or
  • Minimum of 50-hours of education and training related to Human Services and disabilities, and four-years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets one of the qualifications in a-c above.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Pass an OIG and DHS background study and maintain approved status without continuous supervision.
• Reliable transportation for work driving purposes, a valid driver's license to the bed/i??

Salary:

$49,000-$55,000 ($23.56-$26.44 hourly) depending on experience.
