Job summary

Brightpoint in Des Plaines, IL, seeks a Program Supervisor of the Child Welfare Resource Referral Program to lead a team of Community Resource Navigators and coordinate services for families referred by the Department of Child and Family Services.

The role focuses on replacing traditional child welfare services with holistic child, family, and community well-being solutions, while ensuring safety and timely referrals.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or closely related field is required.
  • CERAP and CANS certification are required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • At least two years of social services experience is required (child welfare experience highly desirable).

Program Supervisor of the Child Welfare Resource Referral Program

Will work collaboratively within and across programs to ensure a relentless focus on keeping children safe and supporting families, which includes replacing what we currently think of as child welfare services with what we know to be child, family, and community well-being solutions. As program supervisor, you will supervise a team of Community Resource Navigators who work collaboratively with families identified by the Department of Child and Family Services for 30 days to help meet a range of needs including identifying resources and completing community referrals.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field required.
  • At least two years' social services experience required (child welfare experience highly desirable).
  • Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP), and Child Abuse and Neglect (CANS) certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to attend in-person meetings and events as needed required.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
Job Details
  • Compensation: Range is between $71k-79k, offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.
