Job summary

Community Services Group (CSG) is seeking a Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations of one or more community homes or IDD services, ensuring quality support and adherence to the principles of self-determination.

The role includes supervising direct support staff, coordinating schedules, and promoting community participation, with orientation provided to set up a successful career at CSG. The position involves driving, flexible hours, and participation in our IDD/ASD services.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; 1 year working experience in programs for individuals with IDD or mental health.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle for trainings, meetings and transporting individuals.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise direct support staff and assist with interviewing, hiring, orientation and training.
• Participate in on-call system and ensure health, safety and welfare of individuals in the program.
• Coordinate schedules, activities and routines; promote community integrated activities for individuals.
• Transport or coordinate transportation for individuals as needed.
• Maintain records for inventory and funds; manage petty cash and household funds.
• Adhere to program budget for food, supplies, and operating costs.
• Perform duties of direct care staff as required.

Summary

The Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of one or more community homes, community participation support services or community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the delegation of work, assignment of duties, completion of tasks of direct support staff and for supporting the principles and values of self-determination, in accordance with Community Services Group policies and applicable regulations. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Program Manager.
This position is part of our Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Community Home Services.
CSG’s Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD/ASD) Services is excited to offer a 2 week paid orientation for this position. Orientation includes the necessary foundational training needed before providing services in the programs and sets you up for a successful career at CSG. CPR, First Aid, Welle (Behavioral Safety Management Training), and Medication Administration are a few of the topics covered. Orientation is held in-person at our Mountville, Williamsport, and Bethlehem offices, Monday to Friday during daytime hours. Mileage reimbursement is provided for orientation related travel.

Wage Information

Base Rate $20.00/hr. with increase possible based on relevant IDD experience. $1/hr. shift differential for awake overnight hours (10 PM to 6 AM) & weekend hours (Fri. at 5 PM to Sun. at 10 PM).

Job Description

• Serves as the direct supervisor of the direct support staff and assists in interviewing, hiring, orienting and training.
• Participates in the company’s on-call system.
• Ensures the health, safety and welfare of the individuals within the program.
• Coordinates and ensures the development of schedules, activities and routines and actively promotes opportunities for individuals to participate in community integrated activities.
• Transports and/or coordinates transportation for individuals in personal or company vehicles for meetings, appointments or community activities.
• Serves as an active member of the service team in the coordination of services and communicates relevant information to families and other professionals as necessary.
• Oversees and maintains records pertaining to inventory, both for company owned property and possessions belonging to individuals.
• Accounts for all individual funds and petty cash funds; maintains an adequate supply of funds for the individuals and the home.
• Adheres to the program budget for food, household and operating supplies.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
• Performs job responsibilities of direct care staff.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year working experience in programs for individuals with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
