Job summary

Iowa Judicial Branch is seeking a Program Specialist to support child welfare and juvenile court initiatives across western Iowa. The role provides regional support for programs like Treatment Courts and Behavioral Health, ensuring alignment with goals and standards.

This position is travel‑intensive and requires collaboration with judges, child welfare agencies, and community partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or high school equivalency).
• Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in the administration, operation, or execution of a program.
• Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of 30 semester hours or academic equivalent equals one (1) year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support child welfare and treatment court initiatives across assigned judicial districts.
• Provide consultation, technical assistance, training, and quality improvement support to courts and partners.
• Monitor data collection and reporting; ensure grant and federal compliance.
• Serve as liaison to family treatment courts and partner organizations.
• Communicate program updates and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Travel within assigned districts and statewide as needed.
