Responsibilities
Provide programmatic and administrative support to keep the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program in the Foundations Department running smoothly
Coordinate student intake, registration, placement testing logistics, and maintain waitlists
Check member eligibility and provide accurate information on ESOL program and policies --via phone, email, or to walk-ins
Maintain student records and update database (attendance, class lists, pre/post assessments, contact information), follow-up on student absences or missing information
Input program data and submit to the Department of Program Administration accurately and on time
Help distribute and collect forms, surveys, classroom materials, and books
Assist with program orientations and class visits; provide initial assessment of instructor performance
Provide quality customer service to members, as well as accurate and timely information about various programs, the department and the Funds
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Healthcare or equivalent years of experience required
Minimum two (2) years of experience in adult education, training or office setting required
Bilingual in Spanish language required
Basic skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel required
Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to details, and ability to work well under deadline pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team player
Ability to maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders (union, members, and educational institutions); handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and work well under pressure
