Job summary

SBP is seeking a grant-focused professional in New Orleans to support disaster preparedness, response, and resilience programs. You will coordinate across fellows, managers, and directors, manage reporting, and maintain data integrity in Salesforce while supporting donor communications.

The role requires 5–7 years in a related field, experience with disaster grants, and the ability to multitask. A valid driver’s license and eligibility for background checks are required in a mission-driven

  • 5–7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience with federal and state disaster preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, or resilience grants is preferred, including the application process, project development, funding awards, and implementation.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to pass a criminal history check, including sex offender registry, State Police, and FBI screening.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and Google Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • We coordinate program needs across a range of stakeholders, including Fellows, Group Managers, the Program Director, Advisors, and internal teams such as Finance, Advancement, and HR.
  • We support Fellows, Group Managers, and the Program Director with progress reporting and communications to external partners, including storytelling and donor reporting.
  • We lead grant research and maintain Salesforce and other databases to protect the accuracy and reliability of grant opportunity data and project records.
  • We help create and launch the Fellows Alumni Network.
  • We support expansion efforts such as fellow placement locations, hiring, and training.
  • We lead special projects as assigned.
  • We provide broader support to Advisory Services initiatives as needed.
