Essential Functions

Under the direction of the Department Director, the Program Specialist plans, documents and oversees all aspects of program projects. The Program Specialist works closely with management to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule by continuously monitoring the progression of workflow and deliverables, evaluating project progress, preparing reports and providing status updates. Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, plans and reports, assigning project tasks, controlling schedules of the team, creating documents, conducting research to support the products of the department and providing general administrative support for various departmental services.

Job Qualifications

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 1 year work experience in project management or data management; EPIC knowledge base

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of experience in administrative assistant type role

  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to interact by telephone and face-to-face with individuals and groups of customers seeking service or assistance.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills - Knowledge of word processing software and ability to use information systems to input data, prepare documents and reports, and monitor accuracy and completeness of information.
