Odyssey is seeking a Journeyman Acquisition Program Specialist to support the AFLCMC/EBD in acquiring and sustaining leadership positions at Eglin AFB, FL. The role focuses on succession planning, certification tracking, and development event coordination to streamline personnel management for PM teams.

You will maintain detailed PM personnel records, process actions, and support compliance with APDP and CLP requirements, while coordinating leadership engagements and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support Succession Planning & Vectoring
  • Maintain and update AFLCMC tracking spreadsheets for PM personnel
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate logistics for vectoring and succession planning review sessions
  • Review personnel records and draft proposed vector ratings for PM positions
  • Draft, finalize, and distribute Vector Letters to employees and leadership
  • Manage Manning Rosters & UMD Tracking
  • Track and update QCL for acquisition positions
  • Process and track position actions
  • Reconcile position series changes and verify billet updates against the active UMD
  • Administer APDP & CLP Compliance
  • Track employee progression toward acquisition certifications and CLPs
  • Issue certification notifications and publish monthly status reports
  • Coordinate PM & Career Development Events
  • Disseminate acquisition training opportunities and DAU courses
  • Track CAP & KLP tenure agreements
  • Monitor tenure milestones and respond to data calls
  • Coordinate Acquisition Recognition & Awards Programs
  • Coordinate RPA numbers and track NAA/SASA
  • Coordinate In/Out-Processing & Onboarding
  • Present APDP briefing slides

Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Acquisition Program Specialist supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Attack division (AFLCMC/EBD) at Eglin AFB, FL. This position will support succession planning, manning rosters, coordinate career development events, facilitate in/out processing, and track critical leadership acquisition positions.

Responsibilities
  • Support Succession Planning & Vectoring
  • Maintain and update AFLCMC tracking spreadsheets for all Program Management (PM) personnel
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate logistics for vectoring and succession planning review sessions
  • Review personnel records and draft proposed vector ratings for all PM positions
  • Draft, finalize, and distribute official Vector Letters to employees and leadership
  • Manage Manning Rosters & Unit Manning Document (UMD) Tracking
  • Track and update the Qualified Candidate List (QCL) for acquisition positions
  • Process, review, submit, and track position actions (additions, reverifications, and deletions)
  • Reconcile position series changes and verify billet updates against the active UMD
  • Administer APDP & Continuous Learning Points (CLP) Compliance
  • Track employee progression toward acquisition certifications and required Continuous Learning Points (CLPs)
  • Issue individual certification notifications and publish monthly division-level compliance status reports
  • Review, assemble, and submit APDP certification packages and adjudication requests
  • Coordinate PM & Career Development Events (CDE)
  • Manage CDE data calls, solicit inputs, and maintain centralized candidate tracking rosters
  • Disseminate acquisition training opportunities, DAU courses, and professional development seminars
  • Track Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP) & Key Leadership Positions (KLP)
  • Prepare, coordinate, and route CAP and KLP tenure agreements for signature
  • Monitor tenure milestones and consolidate inputs to respond to annual mandatory data calls
  • Coordinate Acquisition Recognition & Awards Programs
  • Facilitate and coordinate annual Acquisition (AQ) award nomination packages
  • Coordinate Request for Personnel Action (RPA) numbers and track Non-Appropriated Awards (NAA) and Special Act/Service Awards (SASA)
  • Facilitate Acquisition In/Out-Processing & Onboarding
  • Conduct present APDP briefing slides
  • Distribute Position Descriptions (PDs), AF Form 971 packages, and onboarding materials as needed
  • Reconcile and update PM organizational charts and global distribution lists (AcqDemo, GS-13 and below) monthly against the UMD
  • Process and track administrative paperwork for volunteer Top Secret (TS) upgrade requests
  • Execute Task Management & General Acquisition Support
  • Monitor, assign, adjudicate, and close Task Management Tool (TMT) taskers across all functional areas
  • Consolidate inputs and build slide decks for recurring leadership staff meetings
  • Coordinate acquisition trainee programs (quarterly meetings, Trainee Shadow Day, and PAQ Leadership class tracking)
  • Schedule executive engagements, resume reviews, and meet-and-greets for leadership
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Education and experience: Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing acquisition program support within DoD programs.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DoD 5000.2, and related regulations and guides
Technical Skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply acquisition program support
  • Ability to develop and manage program plans, implement risk management processes, and design courses of action to streamline operations.
  • Experience with DoD planning, programming, and budgeting processes, preferably in the context of USAF weapons acquisition.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and analysis
  • Competence in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing program needs
