Job summary

Odyssey is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to support a high-priority Air Force Life Cycle Management Center acquisition program at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role requires DoD experience, a Secret clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree, with Top Secret and a Master’s degree preferred.

You will lead acquisition activities, develop schedules and reports, brief senior management, and coordinate across development, production, and deployment phases in a SCIF/SAPF environment.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in the DoD.
  • Top Secret clearance and Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of systems acquisition and program management.
  • Gather, analyze, and measure acquisition program effectiveness.
  • Assist with schedule and cost baseline assessments and provide recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally with high-quality documentation.
  • Plan and assess system acquisitions covering development, production, and deployment.
  • Develop acquisition reports (e.g., DAES, MAR).
  • Support program management reviews and IMP/IMS schedule reviews.
  • Prepare and present program status briefings to senior management.

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Program Manager supporting a high priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ). The Special Programs Division focuses on leading edge, advanced technology solutions for the warfighter’s needs in areas such as electronic and cyber warfare. AFLCMC/HNJ is organized into 3 branches, all located at HAFB, MA. Primary performance is in a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) or Special Access Program Facility (SAPF). This is a full time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of systems acquisition and program management in accordance with DoDI 5000.02 and AFI 63-101/20-101.
  • Gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Assist program managers with schedule and cost baseline assessments, provide problem-solving recommendations, and identify alternative actions.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally, delivering high-quality documentation including briefings, plans, and reports.
  • Plan and assess system acquisitions covering development, production, and deployment of systems and equipment.
  • Develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory documents (e.g., DAES, MAR).
  • Support program management reviews, senior-level meetings, and IMP/IMS schedule reviews.
  • Prepare and present program status briefings to senior management.
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance.

Education: Master’s degree.

Years of experience: 10+ years.

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition policies (DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101)
  • Experience with acquisition documentation (DAES, MAR, Acquisition Strategy documents, SOW's, CDRL's, etc.)
  • Proficiency in scheduling and reporting tools for IMP/IMS
  • Strong data analysis capabilities
  • Familiarity with defense program lifecycle management

Additional Information

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.
