Job summary

PA Connecting Communities is seeking a dependable and motivated Program Specialist to oversee residential programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in the South Hills area. This exempt position includes some on-call responsibilities and offers opportunities to contribute to a growing team focused on independence and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or within mental health or intellectual disabilities service system.
• Experience with staff supervision and training.
• Knowledge of interpretation and application of 6100 and 6400 regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle available for daily community use.
• Smart phone and computer literacy.
• Ability to pass PA Criminal Background Check, FBI Background Check, and Child Abuse Clearances.

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized programming.
• Supporting individuals in skill development and community integration.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring direct support staff.

Full-Time Program Specialist Position – South Hills Area

PA Connecting Communities is seeking a dependable and motivated Program Specialist to oversee community homes serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. This exempt position includes some on-call responsibilities. The mission of PA Connecting Communities (PACC) is empowering individuals with special needs and/or needing accommodations with information and opportunities to improve their quality of life.
