Job summary

Garney Construction seeks a Program Specialist to coordinate learning and development programs, ensuring timely execution and clear communication with project leads and partners. You will track milestones, prepare materials, and manage program data and reporting.

Responsibilities include creating status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder updates, as well as supporting procurement and documentation efforts in a dynamic, office-based setting with potential travel.

  • Familiarity with Planner, Asana or Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).

  • Support evaluation by identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and standard operating procedures.
  • Track budgets, invoices, and purchase orders; assist procurement and resources.
  • Maintain organized program files, records, and databases.

Job description

A Program Specialist

This role supports the planning, coordination, and administration of learning and development programs, ensuring activities run efficiently, timelines are met, and stakeholders receive clear and consistent communication.

The Program Specialist collaborates with project leads, internal teams, and external partners to support program delivery, track progress, and maintain documentation and reporting standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Schedule and coordinate logistics for program meetings, workshops, training sessions, and related events
  • Track program milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare program environments and materials to support an effective learning experience for participants

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Planner, Asana, or Smartsheet preferred
  • Experience working with data tracking, reporting, or dashboard tools preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Office-based with occasional regional travel
  • Travel may be required
