Job description

The Family Support Division (FSD), Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist position for the Alternatives to Abortion (A2A) Unit. The base for the position will be negotiable dependent on the applicant selected and office capacity. Some travel is required and may require overnight stays.

All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Transfer clients within the A2A database.
  • Make corrections within the A2A database based on provider entries.
  • Enter ITSD-JIRA tickets for certain changes within the A2A database.
  • Setup new A2A database users.
  • Update three (3) A2A websites as needed.
  • Work with ITSD for A2A database upgrades/changes which includes relay provider concerns, research questions, test database upgrades/changes, and attend meeting and be the business side matter expert.
  • Maintain the A2A Provider Handbook.
  • Work with OA, procurement, and the fiscal unit to complete contract amendments and renewals.
  • Review payments to see if agencies are on track to spend their allocations.
  • Track and review A2A monitoring reports.
  • Schedule and facilitate monthly conference calls with contractors.
  • Send out quarterly client satisfaction surveys, work with contractors and data team to compile results.
  • Track and process the Active Case File report monthly, which includes reviewing a random sample of A2A cases from each contractor for accuracy.
  • Work with contractor Choose Life Marketing (CLM) to review and approve social media postings and to review the data associated with the A2A social media accounts.
  • Compile budget book measures by working with the data team and ITSD.
  • Travel to contractors to complete site visits.

Two or more years of experience in a professional or technical job classification with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System in the Missouri Department of Social Services; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and,

Four or more years of professional or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.

(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the stated experience.)

(A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two years of the stated experience.)

(Additional qualifying experience may substituteyear-for-yearfor deficiencies in the required education.).
