Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Program Site Manager in Chicago, IL to ensure positive youth development during daily activities and interactions with children.

You will help implement curriculum, lead staff, and oversee ordering of materials to operate the program. The role requires strong decision-making, effective communication with parents and children, and a strong education/experience background as described.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child in the program.
• Must be able to make decisions and communicate effectively with parents and children.
• Must have at least an Associate’s Degree or equivalent with specified related coursework and hours of experience.
• Preferred candidates have additional coursework in child development or early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Implement positive youth development in daily activities and interactions with children.
• Assist in curriculum implementation and provide leadership to staff.
• Oversee ordering of materials and supplies for the program.
• Provide direct service when necessary to execute the program.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with school administration, teachers, and staff.

The Program Site Manager is responsible for ensuring program quality including assisting in implementing curriculum, providing leadership and guidance to staff and overseeing the ordering of materials and supplies needed to operate the program. They will also provide direct service, when necessary, to execute the program. The Program Site Manager is also responsible for establishing and cultivating quality relationships with school administration, teachers, and staff. Must be at least 21 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child that participates in the program • Must have capacity to make decisions and communicate effectively with parents and children • Must have at least an Associate’s Degree or equivalent and one of the following: o 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours related to school age childcare, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 750 hours of professional experience in recreational program or licensed day care center serving school age children (K-5th) or a license exempt school age childcare program operated by a private or public school. o 6 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university related to school age childcare, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. In addition, 1560 hours of professional experience in recreational program or a licensed day care center serving school age children or a license exempt school age childcare (K-5th) program operated by a private or public school. • Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education).
