Job summary

American Systems seeks a Senior Program Security Representative in Quantico, VA to lead complex DoD/IC security programs, including SAP environments. You will act as an SME to ensure compliance, strengthen security operations, and support internal teams and external stakeholders in a multi-layered security landscape.

The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility, 15+ years of DoD/IC program security experience, and a collaborative approach to governance, training, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in DoD and/or IC program security management.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience supporting SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/SCI security standards, policies, processes, and government regulations.
• Experience managing ICD 705 facility requirements for SAP/SCI spaces.
• U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse industrial security program across multiple DoW multi-level security environments, including SAP.
• Partner with government and industry stakeholders to build strong working relationships and support mission success.
• Help implement and maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and ICD directives.
• Conduct site assessment visits and support security staff training.
• Work with site leadership to strengthen local security programs.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and address security issues as they arise.
• Support internal investigations involving the loss or suspected compromise of classified information under NISP and customer directives.
• Stay current on evolving U.S. Government security policies and communicate updates to customer organizations.
• Mentor and develop security professionals to maintain high-performing teams.
• Provide practical security guidance to leaders and support security for classified proposals and security volumes.

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Program Security Representative (PSR) to join our growing team in Quantico, VA. This role is ideal for a security professional with strong experience supporting DoW

security requirements, including multi-level security environments and Special Access Programs (SAP).

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted Security Subject Matter Expert (SME), helping ensure compliance, strengthen security operations, and support both internal teams and external stakeholders across a complex security environment.

Responsibilities

As our Senior PSR, you will:

• Support a diverse industrial security program across multiple DoW multi-level security environments, including SAP
• Partner with both government and industry stakeholders to build strong working relationships and support mission success
• Help implement and maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICD)
• Conduct site assessment visits and support training and education for security staff
• Work closely with site leadership to strengthen and support local security programs
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and help address security issues as they arise
• Support internal investigations involving the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified information in accordance with NISP and customer security directives
• Stay current on evolving U.S. Government national security policies and procedures, and help communicate relevant updates to customer organizations
• Help mentor and develop security professionals to maintain a strong, knowledgeable, and high-performing security team
• Serve as a business partner by providing practical, sound security guidance to leaders across the organization
• Support Business Development efforts by helping ensure compliance for classified proposals and contributing to security volumes
• Collaborate with IT Security teams to promote an integrated approach to industrial and cyber security
• Assist in the development of training programs that support the implementation and execution of SAP security requirements
• Help draft and distribute appointment letters for key security roles, including:
  • Access Approval Authority (AAA)
  • Program Security Officers
  • SAP Accrediting Officials
  • SAP Personnel Security Officials

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in DoD and/or IC program security management
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience supporting SAP environments
• Strong knowledge of SAP/SCI security standards, policies, processes, and government regulations
• Experience managing and implementing ICD 705 facility requirements for SAP/SCI spaces
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assess risk and implement security strategies in a dynamic environment
• Ability to navigate complex security challenges and adapt to evolving requirements
• U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $145,000.00/Yr. - USD $175,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
