Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Security Specialist, Mid, to ensure strict compliance with government security policies for SAPs and SCI at Quantico, VA.

The role covers implementing security protocols, conducting SAP briefings, and managing access control. Requires TS/SCI with SAP/SAR eligibility and 5+ years in security programs. On-site position with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP/SAR eligibility.
• High School Diploma; associate or bachelor's in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in security programs, preferably involving SAPs or SCI.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and maintain security protocols for SAPs.
• Develop and enforce SAP SOPs.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for SAP personnel.
• Manage access control and visitor management for SAP facilities.
• Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.
• Handle classified material in accordance with policy and DoD requirements.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD and company policies.
• Periodically inspect facilities to ensure physical security measures are in place.
• Interface with government customers, program managers, and staff on SAP security issues.
• Coordinate incident response and reporting for security violations or concerns.
• Maintain records for personnel security, visit requests, and SAP documentation.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed -oriented Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with government security policies, procedures, and requirements for Special Access Programs (SAPs) within the organization. This role ensures the protection of highly sensitive information, compliance with government and company regulations, and supports a culture of security awareness.

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and maintain security protocols for Special Access Programs.

• Develop and enforce SAP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for SAP personnel.
• Manage all aspects of access control and visitor management for SAP facilities.
• Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.
• Receive, distribute, inventory, reproduce, and dispose of classified materials in accordance with policy.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD and company policies.
• Periodically inspect facilities to ensure compliance with physical security measures.
• Interface with government customers, program managers, and internal staff regarding SAP security issues.
• Coordinate incident response and reporting for security violations or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records for personnel security, visit requests, and SAP documentation.

Qualifications

• • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret TS/SCI clearance with SAP/SAR eligibility.
  • High School Diploma (associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in security programs, preferably involving SAPs or SCI.
  • Solid knowledge of DoD, NISPOM, and ICD security requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
