Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is hiring two Program Schedulers (Level 3 and Level 4) to collaborate with the program team, baselining and analyzing the program schedule. You will maintain schedules, develop alternatives, and communicate deviations to the team, while leading planning exercises and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

This onsite role is located in El Segundo, CA, with internal title Network Design.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project/Project Server.
  • Ability to obtain US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Job Summary

We are seeking two Program Schedulers. In this role, you will work with the program team to develop, baseline, and analyze the program schedule. You are the person who needs to help ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support all program activities through all phases of the program. You will maintain program schedules and deliverables, assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to the program plan and communicate any deviations of the current plan to the program team, and lead planning exercises. You will work closely with members of each program team, product development, and program controllers to ensure our systems meet all requirements and achieve all milestones, while staying on time and on budget. This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California. This position’s internal job title is Network Design. Our team is currently hiring for level 3 and L4.

Position Responsibilities
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards
  • Perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers. Identify future state efficiencies and lean ramp to rate measures
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plans and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders
  • Oversees deployment of approved schedule recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years' of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools), with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data in Excel
  • 1+ years of experience with standard project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Project Server
  • Experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience in performing project planning and scheduling within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Experience with aerospace environments especially other than traditional, large prime contractors
  • Experience with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customer communities and their project management practices
  • AACE and / or PMI professional certifications

Summary pay range

Level 3: $101,150 - $148,750

Level 4: $126,650 - $186,250
