Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Quality Manager for Mature Commercial Engines in East Hartford, CT. You will lead and support a fast-paced engine program, interacting with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to achieve high quality performance across development, certification, production, and delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and use of APQP/PPAP core elements to mitigate risks and drive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business or Quality field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience in Engineering/Technical/Quality Positions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, leadership, and direction with emphasis on team building amongst the Module Centers, P&W Suppliers and Partners.
  • Communicate effectively and possess strong tactical leadership and business acumen.
  • Drive program quality activities by coordinating with CIPTs, Module Centers, Supplier Quality, and Engine Centers.
  • Be primary liaison with the Airframe Customer for all quality issues.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the P&W engine, from part production, engine assembly, and aftermarket.
  • Lead activities to drive the program’s quality, fleet management and engine performance goals.

Program Quality Manager – Mature Commercial Engines

The Mature Commercial Engines Program Quality organization has an opportunity for you to join our team. In this role, you will lead and support dynamic activities on a fast-paced commercial engine program. Activities will engage Customers, internal organizations, and internal and external producers driven to high levels of Quality performance related to product development, certification, production and delivery.

What You Will Do:
  • Qualified candidates will provide support, leadership, and direction with emphasis on team building amongst the Module Centers, P&W Suppliers and Partners.
  • They will be able to communicate effectively and possess strong tactical leadership and business acumen.
  • The Program Quality Manager will excel at forward thinking while driving activities and projects forward in a customer focused manner; thus meeting the demands of P&W customers.
  • The candidate will become a member of the cross-functional Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) and an integral part of the Integrated Program Deployment (IPD) process.
  • The employee will drive program quality activities by coordinating with CIPTs, Module Centers, Supplier Quality, and Engine Centers.
  • In this role, the PQM will be the primary liaison with the Airframe Customer for all quality issues.
  • The PQM will manage the entire lifecycle of the P&W engine, from part production, engine assembly, and aftermarket.
  • The candidate will lead activities to drive the program’s quality, fleet management and engine performance goals.
  • Utilize APQP and PPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, process flow, control plans, etc.) to identify risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business or Quality field or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience in Engineering/Technical/Quality Positions.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
