Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the program’s Quality plan and lead the Quality team ensuring compliance to industry standards, contractual requirements and customer expectations.
  • Serve as the Quality Point of Contact for the Program & leads the Quality Program Team across all areas of the program/product lifecycle.
  • Ensure communication and flow down of requirements to internal teams and external supply base.
  • Develop and manage the Quality budget for the program.
  • Analyze quality performance data, identify recurring issues, drive root cause analyses and corrective actions, escalate as needed.
  • Ensure QA resources are in place to support surveillance activity and upcoming deliverables.
  • Flow Program and Quality information to the Quality Program Team.
  • Provide Quality progress updates in support of the program’s rhythm.
  • Review quality data for trends and take action as needed.
  • Document program non-compliances and assign ownership for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Technology and Production Operations on process questions or changes.

Lockheed Martin has a Quality Program Manager (QPM) role available within the Radar, Electronic Warfare & Acoustic Systems (REAS) Market Segment based in Syracuse, NY. The right candidate will be responsible to ensure Customer requirements are satisfied for all delivered products, documentation and services for assigned program(s).

THE WORK
  • The role of the QPM is to develop and implement the program’s Quality plan and lead the Quality team ensuring compliance to industry standards, contractual requirements and customer expectations.
  • The QPM serves as the Quality Point of Contact (PoC) for the Program & leads the Quality Program Team – all aspects including Hardware Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Production Operations Quality – through all areas of the program / product lifecycle.
  • QPM ensures communication and flow down of requirements to internal teams and external supply base.
  • QPM may supplement Quality team surveillance as required.
  • The QPM is also responsible to develop and manage the Quality budget for the program.
  • QPM analyzes quality performance data (manufacturing data, engineering design metrics), identifies recurring issues, drives root cause analysis and corrective actions, and raises quality performance issues to senior leadership, as needed.
  • Ensures Product Quality Assurance, Inspection and Auditor resources are in place to support surveillance activity and upcoming deliverables
  • Flows Program and Quality related information to Quality Program Team (QPT)
  • Provides/Presents Quality activity progress update and accomplishments in support of Program’s business rhythm.
  • Reviews Quality data for trends (favorable or unfavorable) identifying need for action and delegating/performing root cause analyses as required
  • Ensures documentation of program non-compliances and assignment of ownership to appropriate functions/individuals
  • Drives non-compliance resolution with QPT members and other functions & ensures closure of all actions
  • Communicates with DCMA and end-contract customers regarding upcoming joint customer events
  • Collaborates with Engineering & Technology, Production Operations regarding process questions or changes.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.

Desired Skills
  • 5+ years Quality/Engineering/Production/Process Engineering experience;
  • Experience in multiple Quality disciplines
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Strong Customer Relationship Management ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous Program or Product Quality Experience or Program Management Experience
  • Project Management, Leadership and Delegation Abilities.
  • Familiarity with contract requirements and government flow downs

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
