Job summary

Quest Global in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Program Quality Engineer for a hybrid role. You will apply statistical techniques, manage root cause analysis, and support QMS processes across hardware, software, and data deliverables.

The position requires minimum 4 years QE experience, BS in Engineering preferred, and familiarity with SAP and ETQ. On-site 3 days/week and eligibility for US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years experience in QE function.
  • Knowledge of GD&T specifications and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the company and external customers.
  • Quality Management System documentation related to production practices.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Excellence Through Quality (ETQ) software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical techniques, trend analysis and improvement tools to provide early indicators for preventive actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions using data and communication skills.
  • Review project requirements and tailor customer procedures, templates and tools.
  • Establish verification and validation processes for hardware, software and data deliverables.
  • Support project risk management and project planning documentation.
  • Contribute to internal audit strategy to verify process conformance with QMS.
  • Investigate defects and drive failure investigations with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and share failure analysis reports; input data into SAP/ETQ as needed.
  • Maintain records and updates to quality plans and procedures.

What You Will Do
  • Apply statistical techniques, trend analysis, and continuous improvement tools on the product, process and program performance to provide early warning indicators for initiating preventative or corrective actions.
  • Initiate, facilitate, manage, and validate the effectiveness of root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
  • Review and analyze project and customer requirements and assisting project teams in tailoring and using customers’ procedures, methods, templates, and tools.
  • Establish verification and validation processes for the inspection and acceptance of hardware, software, and data deliverables.
  • Support project risk and opportunities process.
  • Support project tailoring, project plan/documentation development, and other activities to establish the project's execution processes.
  • Support the creation and execution of an effective AS9100D internal audit strategy to verify the conformance of processes in accordance with the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Investigate defects, root cause and corrective actions and drive the parts failure investigations.
  • Communicate failure analysis reports to stakeholders and input the data into the SAP/ETQ system when required
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of all requisite internal and external records and revision of approved quality plans and procedures to meet changing requirements.
  • Manage customer escapes and customer complaints data using the customer’s portals.
  • Create presentation materials for senior management, including reports to Customers and Government representatives.
  • Conduct weekly calls with the customer’s program quality team and share failure analysis reports with stakeholders
  • Support the coordination and execution of monthly Corrective Action Boards (CABs) and Management Reviews.
  • Provide monthly status reports containing the customer's baseline performance metrics, detailed progress reports, and discussion critical path timelines.
  • Participate in all required meetings, including a kick-off meeting with the customer to present a briefing of the work to be completed, project schedules, and overall goals
How You Will Get Here

Pay Range

$70K-$80K/year

Work Requirements

We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Windsor Locks, CT and is considered hybrid with 3 days required on-site.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Citizenship requirement

Due to the nature of this role, proof of US Citizenship is required upon hire.

Travel requirements

Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required
