Job summary

Lear Corporation, based in Southfield, Michigan, seeks a Seating Program Manager to ensure successful program launches through strong leadership, organization, and clear communication across internal and external disciplines.

You will manage timelines, plan activities, monitor risks, and coordinate engineering changes, working with functional managers. Domestic travel up to one week per month is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Must be highly organized and display excellent leadership skills.
• Willing to travel domestically up to one week per month.
• 10 years automotive experience.
• 5 years of project or program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage program timelines by directing, coordinating, and communicating to all functional groups assigned to the program as well as customer functional groups and platform teams
• Conduct planning activities to ensure programs launch on-time and meet deliverables
• Monitor timing, quality, scope, technical and financial risks and issues on assigned program, resolving risks where possible
• Managing engineering changes for profit and loss of your program
• Work with functional managers to communicate resource requirements and expectations
• Remain flexible to changing responsibilities and workload adjustments
