Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business, seeks a Program Planning and Scheduling professional to join the Planning & Activation organization at our US-MA site in Woburn. Onsite role focusing on IMS development, schedule baselines, EAC support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure contract alignment and performance.

You will work with MS Project/Primavera and related tools, contributing to credible baselines and timely program deliverables in a complex defense environment.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience.
  • Experience using scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, Project Server or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Onsite development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project.
  • Maintain IMS to reflect contractual and programmatic changes for current baselines.
  • Ensure IMS compliance with government requirements across program phases.
  • Resource-load IMS with target budgets and ensure cost/schedule integration.
  • Conduct detailed IMS analysis for quality, completeness and compliance.
  • Communicate schedule status and variance analyses weekly/monthly.
  • Support EAC and LRE processes related to schedule performance.
  • Develop and maintain the Program Master Phasing Schedule using Milestones Professional.

Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning, and Scheduling professional to join the Planning & Activation organization. This role supports complex programs across multiple Raytheon locations and business areas, requiring strong scheduling expertise, analytical capability, and the ability to collaborate across functions to support program execution. The successful candidate will lead or support the development, maintenance, and analysis of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and program planning artifacts, ensuring compliance with government customer requirements. Our Planning teammates are valued business partners, influencing and developing executable program plans, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and providing schedule and predictive analytics and acceleration techniques, all in support of the products and services we deliver to our customers. This role is essential to establishing and maintaining credible program baselines, driving schedule performance, and supporting key program deliverables.

What You Will Do:
  • Onsite support to the development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements/scope provided by the customer.
  • Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the program’s lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS in order to maintain realistic, current contract schedule baselines.
  • Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases.
  • Ensure the IMS is resource loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration and is traceable to production scope.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness and compliance.
  • The weekly/monthly business rhythms will require communication (electronically and verbally) of schedule status including but not limited to, results of critical path analysis and schedule variance analysis.
  • Support Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) processes as they relate to schedule performance.
  • Development and maintenance of the Program Master Phasing Schedule using Milestones Professional Software.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field of study and a minimum of 2 years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience.
  • Experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules. (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, Project Server or similar scheduling software)
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Familiarity with government regulations related to program planning and Earned Value Management.
  • Understanding of Agile software development principles and product development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with APEX, SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM), Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra, Deltek MPM Connect, or ForProject.
