Job summary

ORTC, LLC in Medford, Oregon is seeking a Program Physician to lead medical care at the Medford Treatment Center. This role blends on-site and telehealth duties, up to 40 hours per week, with a mission-driven focus on recovery support.

Salary between $115k and $150k per year, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician in the state of Oregon with DATA waiver or ability to obtain one.
• Experience or ability to work in an opioid treatment program per Oregon requirements.
• Compliance with federal guidelines for controlled substances and treatment programs.

Responsibilities

• Medically responsible for all clients in the treatment program, including special populations.
• Assess eligibility for admission and ongoing medical stability for outpatient treatment.
• Complete admissions physicals, medical histories and lab testing per regulations.
• Review lab results and manage clients per best practice and regulatory guidelines.
• Screen for comorbidities and interactions; manage methadone dosing as prescribed.
• Write and sign medical orders; adjust dosing as clinically indicated.

This is a full-time role, up to 40hrs per week with a blend of on-site and telehealth, work-flexibility designed to fit your schedule while allowing you to support individuals on their journey to recovery.

Our treatment center hours are: 5:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. M-F

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Medically responsible for all clients enrolled in the treatment program, to include special populations (e.g., pregnant clients, HIV+, clients with Hepatitis C, clients with co-occurring disorders).
• Must be able to assess suitability of individuals applying for
  admission as well as their ongoing physical and mental stability for outpatient substance abuse
  treatment.
• Ensure the timely completion of admission physicals, annual physicals, medical histories, laboratory testing (including TB screening) consistent with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and sound medical practice
• Review all laboratory results as well as medical documentation from other healthcare providers and manage each client according to established best practice and accrediting and regulatory guidelines
• Screen clients for common medical co-morbidities and evaluate co-existing medical conditions to identify potential medication impact/drug interactions, to include over-the counter (OTC) medications
• Prescribe and titrate the appropriate dosage of methadone consistent with the client's medical and addiction history to establish a maintenance dose
• Order dose increases, decreases, detoxification, or supervised withdrawal after assessment of the client and his/her current treatment history
• Write medical orders based upon the individual needs of the client and sign off on all medical orders

Qualifications and Skills:

• Licensure in Oregon as a Physician
• DATA WAIVER or ability to obtain DATA WAIVER.
• Meet Oregon requirements for employment in an opioid treatment program.
